Landri Lisac Earns NRHCA Non-Pro Bridle World Championship Title

DATE POSTED:March 14, 2025
Landri Lisac earns NRHCA Non-Pro Bridle World Championship title increasing Lookslikelucktome’s career earnings to over $125,000.

At the 2025 National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Kalpower Quarter Horses Celebration of Champions held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, Landri Lisac clinched another world championship Saturday, February 22 aboard Lookslikelucktome (Smart Boons x Dual Lookin Pep x Dual Pep). Winning a world championship is always a special achievement, and Lisac appreciates it even more being on the 12-year-old red roan mare they call Marsha.

With a competitive field of seasoned bridle horses, Lisac knew they needed to bring their best performance to Fort Worth. Their efforts paid off, with Lisac and the mare, owned by Timothy and Katherine Miller, outsourcing the competition by a whole point to claim the prestigious title.

“I definitely knew I needed a big run, because there were a lot of good horses in the bridle,” Lisac said. “I had all the confidence in her, but we just had to put it all together.”

And put it together, they did. Lookslikelucktome stopped very well and performed great in the rein work for a 217.5-point score. However, they really shined in the cow work with a score of 220.

“Our cow work was huge,” Lisac recalled. “She was with me every step of the way down the fence. When I rode out, I knew I had made a great run and needed to be happy no matter where we ended up.”

Upon flying into Fort Worth Tuesday evening, you could find Lisac up and at ‘em at three o’ clock in the morning with Todd Crawford working on their rein work and working a couple of cows down the fence. Overall, Lisac found herself very pleased and impressed with Lookslikelucktome and thankful for her support system, including Crawford Performance Horses, their team, her parents, her grandparents and her siblings.

“I felt like she was very on top of her game. You definitely have to push her in the show pen. If you let her be lazy, she will,” Lisac said. “But, I felt like I didn’t have to push her as hard this week. I think she was trying her hardest for me and wanted to do it with me.”

Although a young competitor, Lisac continues to show why she belongs at the top on great horses. For her, this world title is about more than adding another win to her resume, but rather about honoring a horse that helped shape her as a competitor.

‘Marsha’ came into Lisac’s life when she was in the two-rein, and is actually her sister, Lannie-Jo Lisac’s, horse. Over time, the mare transitioned into the bridle. Lisac began showing her in the bridle, boxed on her and won her first world show on her.

“She gave me my first world championship title, so she’s very special to me,” Lisac explained. “She is now my mom’s boxing horse, but I decided to bring her with me for the Youth World’s Greatest Horseman and the Non Pro Bridle. She does so well, so she’s been shown by everyone.”

With another world title under their belt, Lisac and the mare solidified their place among the top teams in the sport. Proving she still has plenty left to give, ‘Marsha’ keeps showing up and giving her all. She has now exceeded $125,000 in career earnings.

“This is a great show, and I won on a great horse,” Lisac said. “I’ll always remember it, and I am super thankful for everything Marsha does for me. I hope to make NHSRA Nationals again in the future and that my mom will find success when she gets to boxing on her.”

Following Lisac and Lookslikelucktome, Stefani Wagley and Boon Doxx (Sannman x Docs Stylish Liz x Docs Stylish Oak) came in second with a composite score of 436.5, with 218 points in the rein work and 218.5 points in the cow work. Finishing third, Denille J. Leplatt and Hannas Metallic Rey (Metallic Cat x Reyhanna x Dual Rey) ended up with a 433.5-point composite score.
