Lindsay Paul-Foreman and Midnight Snack win Non-Pro Futurity Levels at High Roller

DATE POSTED:September 19, 2024

Born to a horse family of legenday proportions, Lindsay Paul-Foreman grew up riding reined cow horses. Her big foray back into reining at the High Roller Reining Classic proved lucrative. She and Midnight Snack won the Level 2 and Level 4 Non-Pro Futurity classes with a 212.5.

Daughter of National Reining Horse Association Hall Of Famer and National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) World’s Greatest Horseman Randy Paul, Lindsay Paul-Foreman boasts show earnings of $102,100 according to EquiStat. That record includes youth events from 1993.

At the High Roller Reining Classic she added $1,975 to her record. Midnight Snack (Late Night Stopper x Dolls Dun It Again x Hollywood Dun It) was the perfect partner for the job.

“I loped off, and I kind of put my hands down just to see what she would do and she just kind of stayed with me, and was really great and pleasant in the circles,” Paul-Foreman said. “Stopping is kind of her thing so I was pretty confident going to my stop and I come from the cow horse mainly so we don’t practice a lot of roll backs in the cow horse. So my fear the whole time, I was like, ‘Oh no, we have to do roll backs here.’ She was solid and just really willing the whole time.”

Paul-Foreman and Midnight Snack marked a 212.5 to best the other competitiors and are looking forward to their possible future in the show pen.

“We’re gonna show her a couple more futurities. And then if we don’t sell her I’m going to show her the derbies, and me and my family own her,” Paul-Foreman said. “She’s a family horse, so we don’t really have any grand plan, but she’s been really fun, and I really like her. If she keeps trucking along, then maybe we’ll just keep her.”

Paul-Forman’s family purchased her this spring from Marc and Kathy Gordon of Elgin, IL. At the time she was in training with Gennaro Lendi.

“For a 3-year-old mare, she’s super laid back. She’s kind of a people horse like if you walk up to her stall, she likes for you to hold her head,” Paul-Foreman said. “You know she has a very relaxed demeanor. So she’s unlike any other 3-year-old I’ve ever had.”
