The Marketplace at Ardmore November 9 online performance horse sale welcomed a record number of bidders interested in the 35-head offering of several broodmares and yearlings, plus cutting prospects and seasoned show horses.
High seller was Gunpowdr N Lead, a 3-year-old red roan mare consigned by Chris Salvador. This cutting prospect sired by Metallic Rebel and out of Dolce And Cattana (by High Brow Cat) sold to Roger Williams for $31,500.
Close behind the high seller were two broodmares, consigned by Beechfork Ranch, that tied for second highest sellers. Hip #23 Lily Shea Rey, a 2006 bay mare by Dual Rey and out of Lil Shea Lena (by Playdox) bought $30,000. This NCHA winner of $111,589, sold with an embryo by NRR Cat King Cole, and a paid breeding to that same sire for 2025. Chelsea Christoffersen placed the winning bid.
With another $30,000 bid, Danielle Griffiths snagged Exotic Ride, NCHA winner of $69,995 who also sold with an embryo by NRR Cat King Cole, and a paid breeding to the same sire for 2025. Exotic ride is a 2011 mare by Im Countin Checks and out of Little Exotic Dancer (by Smart Little Lena). Little Exotic Dancer earned $85,882 in the show pen and has produced the earners of $254,640.
“We had a good sale, and are so thankful to all who participated – especially our loyal customers – both consignors, and buyers,” said Sale Manager Susie Reed.
