RESULTS: ARHFA Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo took place in Texas from February 27 through March 17 and hosted judged roping sanctioned by the American Rope Horse Futurity Association (ARHFA). As team roping continues to outgrow any other Western Performance Horse event, the futurity ropings are growing in popularity. They give ropers an opportunity to season young horses before heading to rodeos or jackpots and judge horses based on the proper execution of the roping run, not just speed.

Over March 14-15 spectators witnessed many offspring by top Western Performance Horse sires perform in the roping pen being ridden by the best of the best. Young, syndicated stallion, The Darkk Side took home yet another heading championship.
